GRADUATE  DEGREE  PROGRAMS

INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS

A walk across the 1,500-acre UC Irvine campus reveals some 28,000 students from every state in the nation and more than 100 countries around the globe. International graduate students, faculty and staff are an integral part of what makes UC Irvine the remarkably diverse and vibrant campus community of scholars that we are.  Each year, more than 400 new international graduate students arrive on our campus from over 65 different countries around the world. Recognizing the importance of international scholars to our university's mission,  UC Irvine uniquely offers our Graduate InterConnect (GIC) program.  Our GIC program is unique to UC Irvine and was specially developed to welcome and support a successful adjustment for all of our incoming international graduate students. For international students who have been admitted to graduate study at UC Irvine,  the campus has developed a helpful checklist for our international colleagues to guide you in making plans to start your new graduate career as part of our thriving academic community.

Non-U.S. students considering UC Irvine for their graduate education should research our academic requirementsvisa requirements, deadlines, housing options, and other important matters as early as possible. UC Irvine’s International Center and our Graduate InterConnect (GIC) program are both essential resources for all international students, both current and entering students.  Please note: The International Center (IC) is the final authority on campus in regards to all immigration issues.  Visit the UC Irvine International Center website or contact IC staff for the latest information or any questions you may have about student Visa and immigration issues.
