MS DEGREE PROGRAM

COURSE & RESEARCH REQUIREMENTS

The Department of Epidemiology provides the following framework for prospective students seeking to earn a Master of Science (MS) degree in the field of Epidemiology. This framework represents the academic coursework, comprehensive exams and research requirements requisite to earn the MS degree. Of course, each graduate student will customize their elective courses and research activities based upon their individual intellectual interests and with specific mentorship from the faculty in the Department of Epidemiology.  The MS degree requires that an academic thesis (research paper) be submitted and approved for completion of the MS requirements.  Unlike some MS programs,  our department faculty will not accept a capstone exam in lieu of an approved thesis research paper.
